The anomalies took the shapes of people from our memories. The app targeted the source of the information the anomalies were feeding on. Winter talked about it here.

The app isn't available anymore, and I don't think anyone had the resources to get a look at the coding either.

They're usually recognizable, though not usually as people. I've definitely seen Batman-like anomalies before, and there is the Fiona anomaly that was running around.

There are certainly enough of them down there, if what we saw was true. How would we test a theory like that?

I know that nothing stays written on the outside of buildings. I don't know if anyone's tested that on ruins.

You can't take parts from the buildings. Everything has been stripped down, and most of them are just decorated metal. We could try writing on a ruin, one of the parts too big or buried to be moved.
